THE NEGLECTED FAIRY

Oh why do I sigh,
And moan, and cry
About how very much
Time goes by
When I don't pay attention
To my inner fay,
(I really don't want her
To fly away!)
So instead let me sit
And write some lines,
Hoping to get a poem
That really shines,
`Cause the fairy within me
Needs time for fun
Lest she get cranky
And come undone.
If I do a good job,
She'll soar to new heights
When I dust out the cobwebs
And turn on the lights;
Together we'll go
To a magical place
That will put a sweet grin
On her tiny face.
She will flutter her wings,
Sing some sparkling songs
In a place filled with magic,
Where she truly belongs!

Wednesday afternoon/evening sprinkles...
Have been baking old fashioned coconut cake and have seeded bread to do this evening...freezer looking rather depleted after a few local events...
Have the Range on which of course means that Murdo is in usual position...
Going to have an early evening shower and much earlier night...
Tomorrow, have to vote, get my Covid Jab and do a little local shopping...
Feeling brighter with all my ailments but not quite 100%....
14oC today but still rather cool...
