Good morning Linda. It’s been quite a week. The nurse coming out to give him his shingles jab (he’ll need another shortly) and blood pressure. The doctor phoning him about his bp and him having to keep a record of it for a week.Then yesterday a phlebotomist called to take his blood and in the afternoon at the eye clinic, they were very happy with the pressure and although would’nt give him 6 or 12 months off, told him when he gets his 6 week appointment he could cancel it and would get another appointment, effectively it would be 3 months, which Steve was happy with.Then there was me! While we were using the bp monitor, I tested mine, a couple of times and it was high! I’m on bp tablets, so I went to the pharmacy to have it checked…again it was high. So she gave me the readings to drop them off at the surgery, which I did and got a phone call half an hour later with an appointment at the medical centre. As you can imagine I was thinking all sorts. Anyway cutting a long story short, my bp is too high so I’ve been prescribed a higher dose of tablets and lime Steve have to record the readings twice a day for a week! I also have to make an appointment to have my bloods done and give a urine sample to check my kidney function. I’m glad in one way, as I haven’t had a follow up app since I was prescribed the bp tablets or had my bloods done and sugar monitored. It never rains but it pours 😂 Anyway it’s a lovely morning here, might spend a bit of time in the garden, make me relax 😂 Have a lovely weekend and don’t overdo it on the Easter eggs 😂 xx
