Good evening Sue I hope you have had a good day I see you have had the same weather as us, one extreme to the other.  We woke to rain and it continued on and off all day.  Pippin and I enjoyed our walk but we were wrapped up to keep dry today.  Happy to help with the info for the Fuchsia, they are pretty hardy so long as frost and damp doesn't get into the crowns, hence no pruning until the Spring.  I cut mine right down every Spring and they are always huge by this time of the year.
