Dave found a new recipe for a christmas cake yesterday x so he made one to see how it turned out x very yummy and much less hassle than others we've tried x so I think we'll be making some more x found some brandy soaked fruit in Llydll so that can go in too x
Cold and damp this morning x no appointments so a quiet day x I'm making my son a blanket for Christmas so I'll get on with that x DIL's is already done x they've just moved and the house is freezing so they'll be snug soon x have a lovely day x

Good evening Jeannie and it has been a fine day here. I went a walk out this morning then finished up at Morrison's, but didn't buy anything, just a look round. Then this morning I weighed the fruit out for the next cake, and put them to soak in some rum, hope to make the cake tomorrow. I also prepared the cake tin, a job I hate. I also washed my bedding. This afternoon I had a read before Mags and Beth visited. Beth has now got a driving test in Barrow, but not until February, and Scott, her brother, has got his in Barrow in March.
