spotted a Black Cat

Whose that knocking on
that wee small door?
Is it a witch? Or is it more?
Goblins and Ghouls come out
to play
on the eve of this all saint's day!
Black cats and brooms
and witches aplenty
skeleton bones click together
as they rise from their graves
to danse their dance macabre
there's screaming and cackling too
as the cauldrons fires burn
whilst bats fly around near to the ground
then soar into the air
The children go for trick or treat
not realising what's beneath  their feet.
The children dress up
and knock on doors
for it's candy their seeking
with laughter and joy
then tired to their beds
they happily go
not thinking or
dreaming of demons you know.
The adults get out the Ouija board
for after a drink or two
they're looking for an entity
to come through
whilst praying for the sunrise
to save the day.
So, be thankful that the sun
will rise on all Hallows day
when all ghouls and ghosts
will go away.
