Dogs' tails. They can be flags of joy or signals of fear. They also show us anger, guarding, sadness. Jojo has recently begun to show us her flag of joy. She sits beside me watching me and I can hear her tail swish, swish, swishing on the carpet. When I turn to her she speeds up her tail to show me that she is overjoyed that I have acknowledged her. Rylee has always been a waggy boy but his tail also shows me other things - like clamped up tight to his bum - he heard a bee. Ears back and tail clamped running towards me many bees! Tail waving like a flag he's happy and ready for anything. I had to teach him "easy tail" for the dog show ring so his tail would be down. Apparently that is the way ACDs are to stand for show. Who knew. Happy Friday
