Great surprise this morning.  Dave opened the kitchen curtains and there was a beautiful husky dog lying on the lawn.  He came and pawed at the door and whined so we spoke to him.  I’d seen posts on FB last night about him having escaped so got the iPad and took a photo and put it on the local page and his owner was here in five minutes.  Happy ending.  It’s very windy again and we have a few black clouds.  I hope you have a lovely Mothering Sunday xx

Hi Lizzy, yes… we do make a big deal out of St Patrick’s Day here. The parade is usually televised but we did not watch it. It was very cold and windy so I’m sure everyone was bundled up. The wind was so bad during the the night that I thought our house was going to blow away. We had a layer of snow covering everything but most of it on the ground is gone despite the cold temperature.
