Evening Dianne, hope your having a excellent day. You know I think some of these odd phrases started in the army. Talking forces, I always think of those poor peeps who lost their lives because of one mans ego. It still goes on. These peeps who start these wars never go into any danger zones. Did you do anything special on ANZAC day? I was hoping to finish Metroland last night but I ran out of steam. It's town foe me this morning. Yesterday Sandra said she will come, we will see. I told her she needs to then she can pick a few puzzles that appeal to her. Don't know why but that reminds me I have the rest of that strudel sitting in the air fryer. I've got a freezer in the garage that has lost the plot. Not that I really need it as the big freezer now has plenty of spare room. There is still stuff in there we will never use. Is it a veranda evening for you. Your so lucky to live there, or as I say ''you make your own luck''. That's about it for now so enjoy your evening..

Morning Dianne, I've just had a quick Google for that book shop. All I discovered is there are a lot of book shops in Paris. I've nearly finished Metroland. Not an easy or entertaining read but have just persevered as a challenge. It would be so easy to skip a lot of it, but I'll hang on to the end. It's what I would call disappointing. The audio  book that has arrived is by the same author so I'm expecting more of the same. Think I'm getting more patient. Think I told you about the quiche a few days ago? Well I said to Sandra do you fancy a fruit strudel. Be lovely she said.So shoved it in the oven to cook. When it was done Sandra said ''not for me''. This time I just smiled. Fortunately Tracey arrived & had a big chunk. To be honest Sandra is so happy with a puzzle. What did amaze me this evening we had a quiz programme on tv. Sandra knew so many of the answers. In the past when Trivel Pursuit was all the rage everyone wanted Sandra in their team.  Hope you have a jolly Monday with your Monday club & enjoy your day..

Hi Dianne, just a thought! Just used the word tastable. I've not heard of that before but looked it up & it is. Shame as I was going to claim it for the English language. The Metroland is about two sixteen year old boys growing up. Their thoughts & actions. I can see my self in them way way back. lol. I'll leave you to hit the sack..Goodnight.
