Monday night splashes

Hi Dianne
I have a plant in the pond that keep the water clear. However,  a lot of sediment gathers at the bottom.  Leaves, dead snails, that sort of thing. This tends to clog the filters to the fountains. So I drain all the water, I usually unattached a fountain and let it drain on the garden. Then I take everything off of the edge. Take out the liner and scrub with a broom. Then clean all the filters. Put everything back and refill. We don't have a garden hose so it has to be buckets. I only have to do it 2/3 times a year. Its a lot of work, but worth it.
You could varnish the wooden structure with yatch varnish. You would probably have to recoat once a year.

Morning Dianne, have a happy Thursday. Half way through my book & I get the feeling it's about to go in the direction of a Mills & Boon. I will see it through though as it's been entertaining so far. Did my usual travel this evening. Started in Alaska then went down your way. Well a few miles north of Rye. A bloke living alone on Restoration Island. The authorities are trying to evict him so they can get developers in to make it commercial. He has the backing of a Aboriginal town in Lockenhart River who own part of the Island but don't live there.  What am I doing telling you about your country. ? lol ..Got the hearing aid sorted through e-mails. So all is well.. Your getting so strong regarding things to pass on. Wish I had that strength.. Enjoy the day.....
