Hi Dianne, not easy to buy fireworks here. No major stores sell them any more, so a part time shop suddenly sells them. They are dangerous things. Like you they bring back memories from our early days. Me & a few mates set up a bomb factory behind my dads shed. It was big enough to put a car in with room to spare. Anyway , our idea was to make a super bomb by combining the works of different fireworks. We were concealed behind the shed..So the big day came when we were testing our bomb. At first nothing happened, then yours truly went to investigate. When I got close there was a mighty explosion. I lost my eyebrows & some of my hair & the shed was on fire. All my fellow bomb scientists scarpered, they weren't stupid. The shed was wooden & built against a house wall. Guess that saved the house from going up in flames. My dad wasn't best pleased. lol..That was the end of my bomb making career. Enjoy the evening.

Sounds like charity shop was a lot of fun!
I am off to get sweets for the trick or treaters.
In Isle of Man they have hop tu naa. They knock on doors and sing about Jinny the witch. Instead of pumpkins, they carve turnips.
