Hello Diane, after our lovely Summer day here yesterday I woke to pouring rain. And it has rained all day. Only 3 of us turned up for the Monday Morning Coffee Club and we really didn't stay long as we sit outside. This afternoon I worked at the Charity Shop and we were busy as the tourists really had nothing else to do. Certainly not beach weather. And more rain coming tomorrow which will impact on the Melbourne Cup, a horse race. The whole purpose of the long weekend. The track will be soggy and the ladies will not be able to display their expensive clothes. I am more worried about the fine race horses from all around the world dealing with the track. I really do not have any interest in horse racing. However the Melbourne Cup is a big event here, hence a long weekend devoted to it. Enjoy your day.
