I’ve been tge same with my apples had so many I was collecting a couple of buckets every day during September made loads of crumbles , eves puddings and stewed apples for the freezer even gave buckets away for someone with deer . Down tothe last few now when I was raking leaves up last week I found them under the leaves got a recipe for a Dorset apple cake I got of the internet yesterday so might use the last few up trying that out . Needn’t have bothered with the leaves there twice as many out there now going to wait till they are all off next time though this week dosnt sound promising as they’ve forecast rain all week . Clocks go back an hour next weekend so we will be back to dark nights earlier but shoukd be a bit lighter in the mornings. Potatoes keep a lot better if you put them in sacks in a dark place farmers used to dig a hole and bury them in a clamp I think they called then some they kept for next years seed .
