I am happy that I have taught Rylee to pick things up from the floor. Whether I drop something or it's just there on the floor - I point ask and he will pick it up! I started this with cleaning rags coming out to the dryer. I always seemed to drop at least one and I would have him pick it up. He would grab it and hand it to me. I have vertigo and am reluctant to lean over to get things sometimes so having this guy around is really helpful. I once dropped my ring under my deck and couldn't see it - I asked Rylee to get it for me and he did! Sometimes the effort of training is really worth the time! Happy Thursday.

Rylee has decided to wake me up twice in the night - again. Before time change it was at 2am - now it's at 1. He's quite insistent - he jumps up on the bed then stands on my rib cage - he sneaks around me under my arm and will lick my chin. I ask him if he wants to go out - his tail wags like mad so I get up grab the flashlight and head down the stairs. I'm pleased to say he remembers how to wipe his feet on the mat in the laundry room. So he has dry feet when he races back upstairs and jumps up on my bed to wait for me. I get back into bed - get settled - toss and turn - finally get back to sleep and then - bounce! 6am. He wants out again. I let him out get back to bed and then hubby is getting up at 7. I am sooo looking forward to my little mid-week getaway without dogs next week.
