After having Labs for thirty years an Australian Cattle Dog is a bit of a shock. They are Herders they bark - a lot. They bark at the door, they bark at sounds in the night, they bark at me when I go to the closet to get my coat. In the morning when I'm in the kitchen trying to make my breakfast - Rylee stands barking at me - he thinks I'm going to play with him. Jojo barks at Rylee when I take my breakfast up the stairs in the morning - she is herding Rylee up the stairs. When I take them outside they bark at me and when they play - you guessed it they bark. I tell hubby that they are allowed to bark outside when they play just not steady barking that is only noise. In the weeks ahead I will talk about my struggle to try a get them to a manageable level of barking - I know they won't stop - they are dogs that is how the talk. Have a Happy Friday.
