Hi Cath, how are things with you?   I'm sorry about England's loss in the world cup.  I watched it until I had to leave for an appointment.   Now I'm hoping that Spain wins.  I made my 1st batch of jam a few days ago using the steam canner. It is pretty slick!  I haven't made jam in many years and it came out a bit too runny but I have more frozen blackberries and will try again.

Night night Cath! Tom is doing ok...he will have to have his aortic valve replaced soon. He's having to have several tests before hand to see what his options are. Hopefully they can go through the groin, if not able to do that , he will have open heart surgery. He will have a heart catherization on Tuesday and then we meet with the surgeon to find out options on Thursday of next week. I hope all of you are well. Sleep tight hun. Love and hugs!

Hi Cath, how are you?  I am finally getting caught up on sprinkles. It's been busy here- and warm. Next week- we're to have 7 days straight of mid 30s temperatures, UGH.
The puppy sounds wonderful! She must be adorably cute.  I miss having a dog, but right now since I'm usually out of town 2-3 times a year for 2-3 weeks at a time usually, it's really expensive to board a dog.  You must have had a good time with grandkids staying over plus a dog.  What fun!  I hope all is going well for you- take care, love & hugs!

Good evening Cath I hope you have had a good day and enjoyed your time with the children and Dixie.  My previous dog was a Cockapoo and Pippin is a Sproodle  (English Springer Spaniel X Miniature/Toy Poodle).  All these types of dogs are so lovely and friendly.  It was another hot day here but thankfully there was a breeze blowing all day that made things more comfortable.  I went to the Gym on Thursday and had planned on going today but instead went to our Town Market and bought some perennials for my garden.  Sleep well and have a good Sunday. Isla is getting very frustrated at not getting out for her walks  its going to be months before she will be able to go proper walks. So sad for such a young energetic dog. It makes me so upset  she is going to my daughters next wed for a week as we go to Germany Thurs and I'm dreading leaving her, althoygh I know Amanda will take very good care of her.  Its like leaving a child haha

Hi Cath, hoping you have a nice weekend.  Your book club sounds like fun.  I have never done that but have always thought it sounded interesting. What is your current book? I read a lot of mysteries, psychological thrillers and some true crime (wonder if there's a club for that LOL)  I just read Between Two Lives which was a Mindy Kaling recommendation and not the sort of book I usually read, but it was pretty good.  About a married couple who have grown distant from each other and are wondering what it would be like if they never met- then each is separately met by a supernatural being who grants them 1 week to see what their lives would be like if they had not ever met. 
I did not go down to Northfield at this point for strawberries, there is a fruit truck coming up tomorrow and parking at the mall in the evening and they are supposed to have blackberries, which I would really like to get my paws on, for jam, and they are also supposed to have peaches at a very reasonable price.  So going to check that out.
