Hi Dianne, it's nice out today, with some rain coming later. I'm not looking forward to the heat that's coming, though.
I got a zucchini, so now I have to decide how to fix it. I wish I could grow them. My soil is terrible. My house is built over an old airport, and they did a sloppy job removing the concrete. When we landscaped the front yard, we dug up big pieces of it. It was a much bigger job than we thought it would be. When I did my back (huge) flower garden, it wasn't quite as hard since I was planting smaller plants. It was still a big job. I've never had any luck growing any kind of veggies.
I do have a couple of tomato plants in pots that have done fairly well this year. An Early Girl and a Sweet 100 Cherry. They have kept me in tomatoes at least.
These chicks are turning my brain to mush. The birdbath doesn't help much at all.
