I checked on the charity shop which has been closed for ages and found a man fitting a shelf. When asked he reckoned it would be reopening again tomorrow. I do hope so as I still have 2 boxes and the small table waiting to go there. I may take them down in the morning if I have time.

Alan came and weeded some of the garden and checked the gutter for me. He said that it wasn't blocked and it could just have been that there was so much rain it just overflowed and maybe Paul should have a deeper gutter. I said I'd mention it if I ever see him again! I also mentioned the shed roof to Alan, he's supposed to be putting a new one on, but I'm beginning to get the feeling he's not that keen. I may have a word with Stephen who used to live opposite me. I know he could do it but I'm not sure if he would. Men are such a pain. LOLOL

Tomorrow Carole is coming early afternoon to do my hair so I don't think I'll be going far.

I finished the Tight Corner jigsaw and will send you a pic. I've also pulled out another small one [500 pieces] called The Railway Inn, I might get some of that done while I wait for Carole.

Hi Janet, this morning I got all ready to go shopping, drove out of the drive only to find Alan had already arrived at Sue and Ian's. He takes about an hour to get finished there before he comes to me so I decided to wait and shop later. It was a good thing I did as the gas board man phoned and asked if he could come early. It was fine with me, it meant I wouldn't have to wait in for him this afternoon. He was really sweet when I showed him the conduit that needed a cap on the end.  I told him that when the boiler was fitted no one explained anything about the timer, how to change the water temperature and I also mentioned the heating had never been turned on. He sorted out the cap then showed me how to change the temperature, how to alter the pressure, which was too low and needed adjustment. He turned on the heating and had to 'bleed' the radiators to remove some air from them. He was so nice and didn't make me feel like an idiot. lol
