I had a chat with D who was still moving 'stuff'' about in his garden, he was telling me that although he's feeling a bit better he's about to start the second lot of antibiotics. He seemed to think he'd be going back to work on Monday, I'm not so sure. He probably wants to make an appearance at work as he's arranged to go away next Thursday for 3 days, to see a football match in Blackpool.

I finally had the phone call about my meds but it wasn't 'virtual' after all. I phoned the surgery lunch time to ask when I could expect the call as I'd waited in all morning and she said not until late this afternoon. I did say it would be nice when they text to say to expect the call they could also say if it will come morning or afternoon. I guess that would be too easy.

Best go and get some dinner, it's chicken tonight.

I spent a little while this morning arranging a service for my gas boiler, of cause it's on line. I read my gas and electric meters and input those, then phoned my power supply company to extend my fixed rate price. It was set about 4 months ago and we've been told the price of domestic fuel will go up a lot in June/July but not if it's fixed. The lady was very helpful and hopefully when it's reviewed again next year things will be a bit more stable and it won't go up so much. I'm not surprised when the news people say we have the most expensive fuel in Europe.  I also phoned Boots the chemist. It's a huge company across the UK and I had some gift cards which I'd not used and needed to find out if they were still valid. After speaking to one man I was put through to the sweetest guy who input about 12 cards on his computer, which took about half an hour. He was great and if I could I'd let the company know I would, maybe I can find an email address.
