I started another puzzle while I was waiting, it's only 500 pieces and they're larger than usual, still it will keep me quiet for a while.

D had 2 tons of top soil and 2 ton bags of something else delivered today. It was put on his parking place, it's where he wanted it but he wasn't too pleased at how they were arranged. Somehow I don't think he'll be moving them any time soon. lol I spoke to him this evening and he says he's still busy fitting Kath's kitchen. She's still staying here, maybe she has no water if he's taken out the old kitchen and not yet fitted the new one. I told him that I'll try and keep the men coming tomorrow out of his way when they park up. He wasn't bothered and said he'd not be home until gone 4 so hopefully they'll be gone by then.

I phoned the gas board at half past 8, I bet I was the first one in the queue! I explained about the AI that wanted my credit card details and why I wouldn't give them as I already have one unwanted 'bill' and no way was I giving them any money. She was most apologetic and said she'd organize an engineer to visit this afternoon. She then gave me a direct phone number for her senior officer to sort out the 'bill' I didn't owe. She too apologized for the trouble I'd had and assured me the bill in now cancelled and my account has a nil balance. She said if I needed help in the future I could call her direct which would be so helpful rather than all the phone selections I had to go through to speak to someone in the first place. It's all computer generated and it's press 1 for one thing and press 2 for something else and by the time I reached press number 5 for whatever I wanted to scream. The engineer duly arrived about half past 4, he was one I've had here before. He found a couple of nuts that needed tightening and it seems to have solved the problem.

Hi Janet, I went to the library but for some reason the book that should have arrived is missing. HUH how do you lose a book in a library. lol  Zoe, the librarian of the day, is going to chase it up. I reckon it's on a mobile library somewhere and they it will take an age to arrive. Yes I did say a mobile library we have several around the area the last one I saw was parked on a shoppers car park about 4 miles away.

I phoned the TV aerial man and he sounds really nice and will be coming tomorrow afternoon. He and the double glazing man should be here at the same time, it'll be like a party. He said he's been to several bungalows along Stephensons Walk, I bet he likes them because the roofs are not too high if a new aerial is needed.

Hi Janet~~our trash goes out tonight after 6. There are so many rules here about trash it's getting ridiculous. You read my mind about the days going by so fast; this morning I was thinking it's almost time to start Christmas shopping! I like to do it early. There was a water main break in the little town near me the other day but it didn't get as far as my street. We have enough issues with flodding being so close to the bay. Don should keep calling the gym t see if they have any idea when they're going to reopen before he does go into that hot garage!
