I finished a little 500 piece puzzle and will do another wasjig. Maggie gave me one when I went to hers last time. If I can get it done before I go there again I can take it back. I need to phone her to see how Randal is getting on.

He has done the ramp for Paul but goodness only knows when he's going to do the rest, I may mention it tomorrow. He just keeps saying he got behind when he went on holiday, more likely he got behind because it rained!! Tomorrow should be sunny but cooler 70 which will be much better for him to work in.

Daryn came home today and was joined by Kath so it looks like they'll be here this week. It's been 4 weeks and I'm so used to him not being here it will seem strange to see him coming and going.

I had a phone call from Sue this morning to see if I was OK, she said she'd checked on me last week but not seen me about. I think that's so sweet of her. Ian is out of hospital but she says he's not doing well as they've given him a catheter and she says he's finding it very uncomfortable. She's feeling much better as the sciatica pain has mostly gone. When I saw her last I told her what exercises I was given and she says they've really helped.

Hi Janet I speaking to my friend Sheila today and she said it was 80 in the shade in her garden, I believe her. There was a breeze and the odd cloud and I decided to bite the bullet and go to the shops. I got all I'll need for a couple of days. Since Alan should be here sometime tomorrow morning and in the afternoon I'm seeing Lorraine who lives down the road. I phoned her to say I wouldn't be able to get there until after Alan and it would be 2ish before she got her card and present but she was fine with that. She was going out today for a birthday lunch with her family so she was really happy to have someone to share her actual birthday. If Alan comes early enough I may just go and get her a little birthday cream sponge.

I cut the grass so tomorrow himself can do the edges and I want him to spray my Yorkshire stone pebbles in the front garden, it keeps them a better colour, I also need him to weed which I know he doesn't like!
