I finally got home about 7 and had a chicken salad as I couldn't be bothered to cook anything and just as I was finishing there was a knock on the door and Kath stood there with my parcel....big smiley face. I'm going to enjoy doing that!!

I had a quick lunch then went off to Lorraine's. We had a lovely afternoon and she was very pleased with the things I'd taken. When I left her I went on a mission to find some peanuts, I put them out for the birds but it's mostly the squirrels that eat them. They hang on the feeders and force the metal grill bits far enough apart for the nuts to fall out, then they swing on them, they can get through the whole bird feeder in a couple of days. Unfortunately at the moment bird food seems to be in short supply, where I normally go they haven't had either bird seed or peanuts for about 3 weeks. The girl there was telling me only a few bags came in and are soon gone. She also said not to go on a Tuesday as they have no delivery then. I didn't find any seed but managed to get some nuts at Asda which was owned by Walmart but I think someone else has taken it over.

For Alan it's not bad only a few big weeds still standing and the smaller ones mostly gone. The back wasn't quite so good. I'm still trying to see what he did, I think he did the front 6 inches of the borders and anything at the back was still happily growing. I pulled up a bucket full, sighed loudly and made a cup of tea. He was telling me he's got to come back to Paul's, so why doesn't he. I tell myself it's not my problem I have enough of my own. LOL

Hi, I finally got on here to return a few splashes. Today went quite well, Alan arrived only about an hour late and asked what I had in mind for him to do. I said that I'd like him to spray the pebbles, the gallon bottle was standing there waiting for him, and I'd like him to weed both front and back. Now who am I kidding, there's no way on this earth that he's going to do all that in an hour especially as he's holding his favourite strimmer ready to go. So being kind I said that the edges of the grass could do with being cut so off he went. He started on the front garden then moved on to the back, about 30 minutes later he said I'll just do the pebbles and I'll be done. OK I know I should believe in superman but I assure you Alan doesn't look anything like him. 5 minutes later he's packed up and ready to go. I dutifully pay him and when he's gone I check the front.....
