I broke up one puzzle and started on another, called Rest and Relaxation, sounds like my kind of puzzle!  I've sorted it and done the edges but what with being out Thursday and Michael and Carole coming Friday I doubt I'll get much more done before Sunday.

Just going to rescue my dinner from the oven,  Yorkshire pudding, chicken, potatoes, peas and carrots.

I've been seeing the awful news about the school shooting, it's so sad. It seems to happen too often and not just in America, we had 3 children killed here too less than a year ago.

D has been out again all day and Kath arrived here about an hour or so after he got home. I can't see him doing much with all the soil and slate chippings at the moment. I think he's going to remove the flower bed in the front garden and put the chippings down where that was. As for the top soil I'm thinking that may be for the back garden. First he needs to remove the broken concrete then he wants to level the ground. Goodness only knows when he's going to do it as he's back to work next week and just removing the broken concrete will take ages.

Hi Janet, it's been an odd day one minute sun then rain and now cloud and wind. It's been about 69/70 not too bad. I had a visit from the aerial man who found I needed a new boaster on my aerial which was $128, then the glazing seals were done another $178 and then the glazier said I would need a new lock on the conservatory. He said when he got back to his firm he'd get them to do a quote. It needs to be done so maybe they'll come back next week.

I got an email to say my book had arrived at the library so when they'd gone and I'd cleaned the kitchen floor I went to collect it. Normally I would have gone tomorrow but I'm going to see Sue in the morning and will bring her back to Lowestoft, get some lunch, then we'll have a trip around the charity shops and then she'll come back to mine and we'll have fresh cream cakes!
