It was interesting to read that you did telephone sales during your summers, I worked in a handbag shop. It was a lovely place and although it no longer exists people still remember it. It was attached to the local cinema which was an art deco building. They pulled it down and built a modern shopping precinct, which was such a shame as it was a beautiful building. I don't think the council would allow it now as they seem to want to preserve the history of the town but back then it just happened.

I went to see auntie this afternoon and found she'd had a fall yesterday. She has a lady come who does the housework and she cleaned the utility room floor and left it with a shine on the surface. Unfortunately auntie didn't realise and slipped, fortunately nothing was broken but she couldn't get up and had to crawl to the phone to call her son who came to get her up. She was so lucky not to break anything.

Hi Janet, it been another drizzly day, I was reading in the newspaper we've had rain for the last 41 days no wonder my grass feels more like a marsh. Tonight we should get freezing weather and we may get snow tomorrow or Sunday. I don't think we'll get much and even when we did earlier this year I didn't make a snowman but Sheila's granddaughter made one for her children in Sheila's front garden as it's much bigger than her own. It's been a few years since I made one, we don't normally get enough snow.

Thinking about your hip, I take turmeric tablets everyday. They work as an anti-inflammatory but if you take them it will be a few weeks before they work. I took them before I had the hip op but needed to use them for about 5 weeks then they were amazing. I then found I could lay on it without pain. I would rather take those that Aleve. When I went for my pre-op interview the nurse asked what I took then told me she took them to help with the arthritis in her hands.
