Good Morning Mary,
Our little town was surrounded by fires this season. It really has been the worst season yet. A lot of damage, especially to the farms and wild life. On a positive note after 5 days of no electricity, the power has been restored. It is crazy to think how much we have come to rely on electricity. Needless to say I lost a lot of food that spoiled, because our closest shop is a hours drive away we tend to fill up our freezers. And we just couldn't keep a generator running 24/7 - cost and noise complaints. Ah well, the positive is that our homes didn't burn down. There were a few homes on the outskirts that were affected though.
I want to experience a white Christmas just once in my life. It looks so magical and cosy. Here it is sweltering hot and we usually just BBQ and go for a strole on the beach. I must say i have been battling with the Christmas spirit so far this year. Hopefully now with the fires under control, we will start feeling a little Christmas Spirit. Even the town hasn't announced the switching on of Christmas lights which normally happens on the 1st December which is tomorrow. But there has been no notices, so i guess they behind schedule due to the fires.
I am waffling - have a great day Mary xx
have a great day.
