Rylee is a window dog. He sits at the kitchen window on the bench I put in front of it. He sits and watches the birds which is fine. However when one of the Black Squirrels dares to enter our yard he's right there - ready and launches off of the bench barking to the door. We also have a young brown bunny that I believe lives under our deck during the summer. Jojo is the one that goes after it - and any chipmunks that roam around. Rylee is a whole other story he is the squirrel wrangler. He has realized that the upper windows in the bedrooms are great for watching the birds in the trees out back.  He sits on the floor beside me looking up and out. Windows - he loves them. Happy Wednesday Mary. Hope you have another quiet day so you can catch up. Its nice to have that. I woke up to snow. The kind of light snow. Tiny little flakes that come down almost like rain. Its not super freezing cold and I left the heaters on all over the house all night. So that's made a difference. Course I'm pretty sure my prayers didn't hurt for sure. I was afraid my water was starting to freeze. So I aimed the heater at the pipes under the kitchen sink and it seems to have helped. Talk about a rock and a hard place. I didn't want to leave the water running even just a drip, because of the cistern. But I didn't want to not have water either. Its good now.
Staying home today and praying I can get J to plow for me tomorrow. I'm pretty sure he will be super busy. So I cancelled my lunch with my friend. She understood too. Hahaha she's Canadian!
So just doing my household chores and then gonna bring in some wood. My car looks like a huge marshmallow out there with all that snow. I can't believe how much snow we are getting in Dec. Usually don't see this much until January.
If I can  I may get someone to come in and look at the furnace. It should work. It was brand new and only used 1 year. Thing is oil is so expensive I almost hate to get it fixed. And the heaters are working for me for now so maybe I will just stick with that. Its only about 3 1 /2 months till it warms up again. And I can still chop kindling until I get a load of it.
I think the soup is gonna work out just fine. There's not a huge amount of broth. When I add the veggies it should be perfect for about 2 servings. That should be plenty for me. And of course it will need noodles too.
I hope your day has been an easy one. Sounds like your big tree is coming along. Just one more night alone then hubby will be home to keep you company. Have a lovely afternoon Mary :)
