"Finite incantatem!" said Albus Severus and all of a sudden, brushes, mops and sponges fell down to the basement stones, leaving a half drowned Kreacher spit bubbles of soap. His cloth had never been so sparkling white and his mood so dark. "This... This is an outrage, master Potter! I... I protest!"

Albus, who looked genuinely sorry, apologized to Kreacher and to prevent him catching a cold, without thinking, he took off his sweater (knitted by Mrs Weasley) and gifted it to his own house elf.
Hands shaking with emotion, Kreacher touched the sweater and cried: "I am free."

Kreacher was seated in a puddle of soapy water, screaming his lungs out while brushes, mops and sponges were busy... cleaning the old house-elf.
"It ain't my fault, Rose! You gave me that book of cleaning spells, I commanded those to clean all that was disgusting here and they rushed down the stairs to jump on HIM!" explained Albus Severus Potter to her sister.
"Make it stop!!!" yelled Kreacher "make it stop!"

Ron "Why not ask Hermione? You know how she is", he laughs " to quote Snape: "an unsufferable know-it-all", she hasn't changed much since that time, always her nose in a book... or three."
Harry was laughing too when they were interrupted by screams coming from the back of the Hog Head's Inn basement, near the entrance of the tunnel leading to Hogwarts. "What's in Merlin's beard going one now?"

"What's that in your hand?" asked Ron who went to the Hog's Head tavern to give his old pal a hand in the basement. "It looks almost like a posh pocket watch except that I can't decipher the writings on it."
Harry let Ron examined his golden item, inherited from Aberforth. "I've no idea, it's in gold, the arrows whirl and turn but I've never seen something like this. Why Aberforth left it to me? I have seen him from time to time but he never shared any story about this artefact and yet, I sense that this is extremely important." replied Harry.

Harry repressed a smile. Kreacher was getting old but he was still efficient, if he had decided to be. The Hog's Head tavern was as dusty and dark as in his souvenirs and he wondered what he'd do with the place. He wasn't too keen to sell but didn't have the time to manage it.
"The children could help Kreacher; I'll borrow Ma's cleaning spells book, Albus is always a bit behind with spells. Rose shouldn't be the only one to know them" said Ginny.

Ginny Potter looked at the old Tavern that her husband had inherited with a frown of disgust. "this bar has never been scrubbed in a millenium, if you wish to sell it, tell me we'll hire people to do it."
A low voice interrupted her: "Kreacher shall do it; Kreacher loved this place; Mr Aberforth has always allowed Kreacher to eat and drink here at the Hog's Head Tavern. He was a great man, this Dumbledore, he respected the elves."

Harry Potter closed his diary. He hadn't been that close to Aberforth as he had been with his brother, or McGonagall but the passing of the last member of the Dumbledore's family had still be a sad news. Now his notary had officially given him a small package from the deceased and a lot of papers to sign.

"Congratulations Mr Potter, the Hog's Head tavern is officially yours now!" said Mr Flinchytoes, the notary, a frail grey man looking like a muggle. "And don't forget your parcel, he insisted on it. I don't know what's inside, but he wanted you to have it at his Death."
Now Harry had opened the parcel and taken a gold instrument small than his palm. 4 arrows were tingling in different directions and Harry didn't have the slightest idea of what he had inherited from Aberforth.
