The Strawberry Moon

On June 29, 2026, the Full Strawberry Moon will light up the sky. It reaches its full phase at 23:57 GMT and will appear in the constellation Sagittarius.
This Full Moon is special because it comes shortly after the June solstice. In the Northern Hemisphere, that means the Moon will follow a low path across the sky and may look golden, orange, or even reddish near the horizon. In the Southern Hemisphere, it will climb much higher.
Despite its sweet name, the Strawberry Moon won’t actually look pink — the name comes from the strawberry harvest season.
