Weather update: We were very lucky. Lights flickered intermittently, but we never lost heat or power.
About 600,000 customers didn't have power as of about 6 this morning, including many schools -- so our district cancelled classes today (as did several others). We have lots of trees in our area, so lots of fallen trees, downed power lines, and roads blocked.
All of my family and friends are fine, too. We have been counting our blessings!
