Red worms ……… “weekend worms” I’ve heard this phrase many times when describing how they appear over the weekend ….. gardens are absolutely saturated,  now I’ve noticed myself on a weekend if I’m using a shroom I seem to get WAY more than if I’m using a shroom during the week …… what is this?! I’ve been keeping an eye the last few weeks and it genuinely doesn’t seem to matter what I’m set up for even super common things the reds show up in army’s ! I can have the exact same set up during the week but as soon as the weekend hits so do they and I see this in a lot of other gardens…..it frustrates me as the weekend is the time I have to play most but it’s the time when it seems my plates are invaded and I just get nowhere fast with what I actually need ….. is it just me ? X

First time I’ve ever heard of this phrase before.  I don’t find that I get more WRCs on any particular
given day/over the weekend. 

Oh really ? That’s interesting ! I can have the exact same set up during the week and honestly get a handful and yet at the weekend I get more on one plate than I have all week lol obviously I know if I’m attracting something rarer it’s a given …… but even when attracting commons/average the worms just take over and I’ve been keeping my eye on it to see if I was going mad haha it would be really interesting to see how others get on so thanks for your comment ! X

I havnt heard of the saying 'weekend worms', but i do know that this has been the case for many years. It happens in my garden,  and I do see it in other gardens.  Why? , the mind boggles lol.

How funny lol so many of my friends refer to them as “weekend worms” hahaha if I make reference to the sheer amount on a weekend they will say “yep the weekend worms are here” lol I find it so odd because it genuinely does happen to me haha xx
