I got a new FL friend. I can see her among my "Friends", but she cannot see me? What could be the problem?

May have to do with Facebook. I would suggest she log out of fairyland and log back in I had this problem and that fixed it.

It is likely to be because she hasn't given the necessary permissions to allow Fairyland to access her friends list.

If that's the case then if she removes the game and adds it again, this time giving the permissions when asked, she should find that fixes itself.  It's quite safe to do, she won't lose anything.
