Able to sprinkle someone but front back wall not there?

How is it I'm able to sprinkle in a particular garden but can't see any front and back wall to say thanks for what I spotted? Wouldn't they want me to say thanks? I see in garden news other people have sprinkled after me but walls are not there...

ok but shouldn't that mean that i can't even sprinkle in their garden at all? i have no idea why i've been blocked either but that's a different matter...

That's what it used to mean, years ago, but now an ordinary blocking means you can still visit and water, you just can't post. It was intended to stop people blocking others tactically, to prevent them spotting something intended for a friend, for instance. Only superblocks stop someone from entering the garden at all.
