Not an Insect?

Chris and HUGH JASS™ 8 hours, 37 minutes ago

I am curious to know if it has been established in the past why the RFH Cattus Peloflorus (inchworm) is not classified as an insect in FL?
Despite its name suggesting otherwise, the Inchworm is actually a Caterpillar (at larval stage) before turning into a moth therefore is an insect.

I'm going to assume and it is my assumption, it's because otherwise all the caterpillars (wrigglys) and so then too the butterflies would also have to be classified in fairyland as insects and this would cause too too too much competition for fairys trying to complete the butterfly challenge.
As I say my guess.

Also really there are a lot of things in fairyland not strictly correct anyway. We have to just accept.
That Ostrich still gets me, it's not a mother, it's a father.

This is Fairyland.  Normal rules don't apply :)

I mean, we have vegetarian big cats and T-rexes, fish that eat bird mix on dry land, tall animals which can't reach tall feeding tables, animals from outer space ... lots of suspension of disbelief needed!

But it is really confusing if you are a biologist 😂
