I find this topic somewhat confusing! A friend said she gifted me gold.  Where do I see that? I want to buy a pot on the marketplace which is listed at 450. I bought 500 gold dust. It says I can only spend 134 at this time?! Help me understand please.

I think it has to be from gold you yourself bought in last 6 months? I might be wrong.

The amount is based on your purchases in the past 2 years. You can find the information under the link 'sprinkle limits'.

It’s both gold you’ve. bought personally over the past 2 years, plus gold dust you’ve ‘won’ from spotting Gold wildlife. Any other gold you’ve acquired, does not count.

How do I increase it? The pot I want is listed at 450 but I am told my limit is 134!

The gold dust your friend has sprinkled on you can be viewed by clicking the red mushroom in the top left corner. All your gold dust and other dusts can also be seen there. If you click 'view sprinkles' it will show you who sent gold sprinkles and if they sent a message.

When in the marketplace, you can click where it says 'sprinkle limits' in the blue bar at the top.
This will show you how much gold dust you are currently able to use based on purchases within the last 2 years.
This figure goes down if you spend gold dust on marketplace purchases and goes up if you spot gold critters or make any further gold purchases.

Aside from collecting Gold dust from the 'gold' critters, the only other way to up your limit is by purchasing gold through the game.

If the game can't be programmed to count gold which has been given by a friend to another person (who would like to purchase a pot) then it's impossible to help others by buying gold for a friend?

Gold bought by a friend will count, but if it was gold sprinkled from a friend then it won’t count.  So first question to answer is how did the friend gift the gold.
