How do I begin the fly traps?

Accept a fly trap gift from a friend, or buy one from the shop.

It has five red mouths, each of which will attract a red fly.  When the fly is spotted, the mouth closes, trapping the fly.  You then need to release the fly by spotting a red fly in another garden.  Each mouth works separately.

When the red fly is released, the mouth will turn orange and attract an orange fly.  Again, when it's spotted it will become trapped, and you release it by spotting an orange fly in another garden.

And you just keep going through the colours like that :)

I see traps that contain only rainbow flies. Do I use different plants to get to that stage. Sorry, maybe that's presumptuous on my part, but curious here. I want to do it right.

You have to work your way through the various colours by attracting flies to your garden where they will be trapped and then releasing them by spotting the colours of the trapped fly in other gardens.  When the mouth releases the fly it will change colour through rainbow order until finally the mouths will be rainbow coloured - when all five mouths are rainbow coloured you can attract rainbow flies which will stay permanently trapped and the trap will be completed and the stems will change to a rainbow band effect.

If I'm reading it right, I can get to rainbow by using just one plant? Thanks Peta :)
