For some things...yes. Like the fairytale toadstools. If you have several of the same fairytale toadstools out to bring forth let's say the butter, grass and goat deterrents...the butter has to be to the furthest left and then the grass and finally the deterrents. If the toadstools are from different fairytales then this does not apply.

Now as far as regular setups...I think that it is an old wives' tale to have the mushroom in a certain position and the platters too. It has never proved to be valid in my garden.

I have yet to see any of those who swear by it actually prove it. In my experience placement has never made any difference. Just set up your garden in a way that is pleasing to your own eye I say.

I've frequently heard that programming reads from the left to right so whatever i want to attract should be on the left? .. am I hearing wrong then?

Since forever I’ve always planted left to right, a friend who used to play was a programmer & she told me the garden was left to right to get a set up with excellent results. Now I must have a lucky garden ( jinxed now) because it’s worked for me over the years….but….i don’t complicate things. Attract one at a time 🌸
