Is this the same task for each bird or does it vary? eg woodpecker in my nest needed me to spot 10 woodpeckers. I'm after a second egg, will the task be the same? ty

Your task will be for one of the birds in group 3
Group 1: Wren, Yellow Wagtail, Chaffinch, Singing Bush Lark
Group 2: Nightingale, Bee Eater, Roadrunner, Waxwing
Group 3: Kingfisher, Oriole, Chickadee, Blue Jay
Group 4: Woodpecker, Magpie, Jackdaw, Crane

Thank you, it was a woodpecker nesting last time and I needed to also spot woodpeckers, so this would have been group 4? Can you explain a bit more please why it would be group 3 this time? ty

It wouldn't be group 3, for a woodpecker.  Only the cuckoo can ask for birds from any group.

The woodpecker is group 4, and so would ask for another bird from that group.

Technically if you have five birds nesting from the same group the fifth bird will send you for birds from an associated group (group 1 and 2, group 3 and 4). But this is only a scenario you will run into if you are a little crazy….  Likewise cuckoos will only send you to look for something else if there is more than one cuckoo nesting in your garden.
