Posted 8/12/2024 to update to the clickable self-gifting link.
Previous update was 6/12/2021 which updated the information about finding the pot ID numbers (YOU CAN ONLY DO THIS ON A PC OR LAPTOP).

GETTING THE POINSETTIA GIFT:

A friend can send you one free; or you can use the self-gifting link:

https://www.fairylandgame.com/fbfairy/req.php?r=poinsettia

The seed is also available free from the Misc section of the Seed Shop, so you can plant them in your own choice of pot.

CHOOSING THE COLOUR OF POINSETTIA PLANTS USING YOUR OWN POTS

There are three different colours of Poinsettia: red, white and pink.  Which you get depends on the final digit of the pot ID number as follows:

Red    :   0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Pink   :   6, 7
White :   8, 9

You can plant the Poinsettias in your own choice of pot, which means that you can choose the colour of flower you get.  Unfortunately this can't be done on a phone or tablet anymore, only on a PC or laptop.

Using a PC or laptop, from the storage area you can see the ID number of an empty pot if you hover your mouse over it, right-click Use, then click Inspect.  This brings up a box of text, and the pot ID number is the eight digit number in brackets after the words "usePot".

DIFFERENT COLOURS OF POINSETTIA FROM ACCEPTED GIFTS OR FROM THE SELF-GIFTING LINK

With the exception of the small red bauble, each colour of the ordinary bauble has the same final digit to the pot number so will always give you the same colour of Poinsettia.

Black or white: pink Poinsettia
Small gold or large red: white Poinsettia
All other colours: red Poinsettia

The same pot re-used will always give you the same colour of Poinsettia.  The small red bauble doesn't automatically give a particular colour because they don't all have the same final digit as the other baubles do, but the colour of Poinsettia you will get from the individual pot will still always be the same.

GETTING DIFFERENT COLOURS OF BAUBLE

When you accept a Poinsettia gift or use the self-gifting link and your garden has space for the plant, you will always get a red bauble.  To get the other colours you need to make sure that your garden is full, so that when you accept the gift or paste the self-gifting link into your browser, it goes to you Pending area.   You can use free pots to fill your garden if it isn't already full, but make sure that at least one of the items in your garden is one which you can send to storage.

Once you have the gift waiting in your Pending area, remove one of the items from your garden and click the Pending gift to send it to your garden.  Keep repeating until you get the colour of bauble you want, always making sure that you keep the garden full so the gift goes to the Pending area, because this is the only way to get colours other than red.

It may take a while to get the colour/s you want, as there is no pattern to the order in which the colours arrive.

I have only harvested a white one so far this year…are they all 5 gold as a reward when harvested?

Occasionally you can get 10 gold.

The thing about "hovering your mouse over the pot i storage ...., right-click Use, then click Inspect.  This brings up a box of text, and the pot ID number is the eight digit number in brackets after the words "usePot". - it does not work on my computer anymore. Do I have to use another browser maybe? I use googlechrome.

I thought I had a gold bauble, but got a red flower. Can’t seem to get a white one!

That one's a large gold pot, not a small gold pot, so red is correct.

Thank you!
