Frog breeding

Paula and **❄️❤️Trixie❤️☀️**2 months, 1 week ago

I'm keen to set up another round of frog breeding to get my UW frog numbers up using my free monthly SF.
I just need to be reminded what I need to do to get the first plate of spawn laid based on spotting/attracting stats and then I'm away.
This is my attracting/spotting stats:
Attracted: 60 tadpoles, 60 froglets, 60 UW frogs, 9 land frogs, 0 Ghostly frogs.
Spotted:  26 tadpoles, 15 froglets, 10 UW frogs, 11 land frogs, 0 ghostly frogs.

you are due 6 more land frogs, so the next one will drop frogspawn for you

So every 5th land frog (regardless of how many UW tadpoles etc.) will drop spawn when on land.  I have had 9 spotted so the next one drops spawn - is that right?  What about ghostly frogs, where do they factor in?  If I'm UW and set up with halloween pond, will the first ghostly frog that visits also drop spawn?  Does it need to be part of the UW cycle or can I just put berries on a high table and along he'll come?

Hi Paula

Ghostly frogs drop spawn in the same way that ordinary adult uw frogs do so yes your first ghostly frog will drop spawn and then every fifth.  To work out whether you are due any uw frogs though you need to add the number of ghostly frogs to ordinary uw frogs and compare this number to the number of tadpoles you have attracted in you garden (you may still have to attract froglets to attract the adults) - so ghostly frogs are still part of the uw breeding cycle.
The number of land frogs is determined by how many complete sets of frogs you have spotted in other gardens.  You will get one land frog for every complete set of tadpoles/froglets/adult uw plus ghostly frogs you have spotted elsewhere

Thanks Peta, I think I get it?  I spotted 15 froglets and 10 UW frogs, so if I put out berries on a high table, I'll have 5 land frogs that could visit and each one can lay spawn on an empty table - have I got that right?   I know that with attracting it's very 5th but is spotting every single one (every complete set)?

Shannon said 6 land frogs and I'm unclear where that number has come from.....?

Yeah - have just had a look at your spotted numbers above and looks like you are only due one more land frog but that will be enough for your next plate of spawn :)
