I've had 37 feedings in total (3 tables) of 0 Spider crab. It is classified as Rare, while Starfish is Very Rare ad I've had 3. As far as I can tell, I'm set up correctly, so any ideas of what seems to be the problem?

Well, I also noticed the lack of them in general so that's why I posted here. Maybe it's a programming issue?

I know you are looking at the somewhat rarer starfish but likewise you have only had 2 sting rays visit which is classified as average - it is just simply a function of the number of critters that are being attracted including the common lobster - the fact that you have actually had 3 starfish is actually awesome with the set up.  The only way to improve the chances would be to put in the lower colour corals to deter or put in a blue coral at least to increase attraction.

My friends are saying the same thing ...we are all on our 3rd/4th plate of spawn. It seems strange that none of us have had one. It has been easier to spot starfish.

I think probably relates to the fact that the purple coral is an actual “proper” attractant for the starfish and is a residual attractant for the spider crab.  The spider crabs are out there but you may have better luck with a blue coral in place as well

Hi Peta, I've had normal amount of stingrays and everything else. It's definitely better to do crabs with lower corals but I still think these numbers are odd.
