Which is the easiest way to do these?
Is it easier to do the red 7 times then orange 6 times then yellow 5 times etc
Or
Do the red x2, then orange, then red again and orange again to unlock  yellow etc

Whichever you prefer.  Or a mix of the two :)

For me...to do all the seven reds first, then the six oranges, etc. meant that I could better keep track of where I was. The reds being the easiest ones meant that I graduated to attracting more and spotting more gradually. I thought that it was also nice that when I did the violet, I knew that that was the last trail and I was done at the end of it. I have seen others do the violet trail and then have to go back and do other colours of trails and that would be anti-climatic in my opinion.

I did these long ago, and did each level as I went, with no direction from the other players, as we were all doing it at the same time. I think doing all of each color would be more rewarding. Also, take breaks, ! Just my personal opinion! Good luck.

I’m working my way through the topiaries now and have found that the 4 lower levels, are easier to do together, ie I may have done a red trail at the same time as a yellow trail etc.  Now I’m on the blue trails, I’m finding it easier to do these colours consecutively, ie 3 blue trails, then I’ll do 2 indigo trails and finally the violet trail.

I should have added the same as Jean stated, I have been taking breaks over the months of doing them.

For the last 3 days I have had nothing but mice & ducks except 3 unicorns that were missed....I really thnk this is unfair.
Is my garden not set up the right way or  is it the way "the cookie crumbBles".

It's very normal when attracting unicorns with a RFH mushroom, Sue. If you had three unicorns visit in that time, that's actually pretty good! I've waited several days for them before.
