spotted not registered?

Finally had my 10th violet chameleon attracted to and found in my garden and was still on 9 that I had spotted in others gardens. Just found a violet and the number remains on 9? Thought I'd be looking at a pretty rainbow flower by now. Can anyone tell me if I have misinterpreted the way of getting the violet to change to a rainbow?

It's been a long time since I've done them but shouldn't you have a green plant out, you have two blues.

Spotting should still have changed the colour of the violet, though, if ten had been attracted and then the tenth spotted.

I'd guess it wasn't the tenth spotted, though - it's easy to look at the wrong figure and think you'd spotted nine but it only be eight. Chris may have looked at the number attracted both times.

One more spot will do it though, if it's now showing nine spotted. Then it won't matter about the missing green :)
