Greetings and welcome to the wildlife timings megathread. While we will post some of the most important timing data below, please keep in mind that it may become out of date as we get new data and so if you want the most up to date info then the link to our excel sheet is below and you should check that if it has been awhile since we posted this.
Myself and Daniela from FFU have been hard at work getting the new timings down and I am pleased to say we have some great information to share with you below. Feel free to skip to the second/third post in this thread if you want to see the our findings spreadsheet or a sample of the data from it, this first post is going to explain what it is and how we got it.
Q: So, what is this and how was it done?
A: I have collected 50,000 unique wildlife visits between Feb 27th - March 6th and they are all compiled into an excel spreadsheet which you can view below. This has allowed us to fairly accurately determine what the exact minimum/maximum timings are for fairyland wildlife, and may help save people gold while playing. The data collection bit was done by myself with the help of a script that passively recorded what it saw on plates as I would play the game normally (so I promise it didn't hurt the servers lol).
While we have some great info currently, it should get better over time as old food dwindles (though we are fairly sure that we were able to weed out the old food entries from our findings as they very clearly stand out from the pack). As I mentioned above, since we cannot edit forum posts the best way to see our latest timings is to view the spreadsheet that is linked in the post below. We also would love others to doublecheck our work, there are probably lots of interesting things to find within the data that we may have missed and so please let us know if you have any feedback on it.
There were numerous challenges to overcome with the collection of the data, for instance we could not record any wildlife that visited over 24 hours ago as it would change from HH:MM to DD:HH and would be useless, this also included any wildlife who had a previous visitor visit over 24 hours ago. Aside from that, there is still old food lingering out there, however it is usually fairly easy to spot in the findings as it will stand out among entries rather than be surrounded by others of similar timings. The next time we make a spreadsheet to update this this issue should be gone entirely for the most part.
Lastly, I just want to give a huge shoutout to Daniela from FFU who helped me analyze this data and was instrumental in getting to where we are now with it.
