Hi, just went to freeze my back ground but was told it would cost 1 star dust?

Can someone help me with what I'm missing please. I thought it was free to do now

If you haven't yet frozen it, it still costs a star dust. The change is that we no longer have to refresh weekly, at a cost of one star dust each time. Once we freeze now it's permanent unless we choose to add or remove effects. If we add them, it still costs another star dust to freeze them into the background.

Ahhhhhh okay thank you

So, I need to freeze garden for one star dust. When I unfreeze the effect will return.

If I remove the rainbow plant now that I have frozen and unfrozen, will the effect stay.

If you have frozen the background, using the icon of stars under your garden, then you can harvest the rainbow butterpillaflora plant and the rainbow effect will remain.

(Your reference to "unfreezing" is confusing me though - you can't unfreeze the background. You can remove effects once ftozen, but that's not the same thing. Unfreezing only applies to freezing the garden rather than the background effects, so be sure you've frozen the background before you harvest!)

Ok hoe do I freeze the background.

I did sprinkle with star dust. My star dust symbol is now green.

You click the icon under your garden that looks like stars, as I said. If you've done that, you have frozen the background.

Thank you
