PLEASE NOTE: Always look at the LAST couple of pages of this thread to see the latest and most updated listing. The list will be revamped as new critters are added to Fairyland, dated and added to the end of the thread.

Please use this thread for general questions about seeds only. Thank you!

BASIC PRINCIPLE:

You get a forest seed by spotting every 10th of a particular critter in someone else's garden - spotting critters in your own garden does not count.

Some critters, mainly the ones that are needed to build items,  also drop a seed when you find one the very first time. Some critters give seeds for every 5th that you find. If you are unsure, the Wildlife Guide is your best resource.

You can track how many of each critter you have spotted by checking your back wall (also known as your fairy profile page). To access this page, click on the blue link in your garden that shows your and your fairy's names. This link is located to the right of your and your fairy's pictures, under the heading Garden Owners.

How to calculate the number of critters you need to spot for a seed:

* Your back wall shows that you have spotted 17 field mice
* To get a ruby seed, you would need to spot another 3 field mice

OR

* Your back wall shows you have spotted 8 meerkats
* To get an amber seed, you would need to spot another 2 meerkats

The number of seeds you have found will be listed in the Seed Shoppe. To access, click on the seed icon in the toolbox directly beneath your garden, to the right. Click on the tabs to find the seeds you are looking for e.g. Topiary Bush Seeds can be found under the Misc tab.

Thanks to Johanna and her fairy Darling for all their hard work in creating the original thread.

Great work Sonja and Rebel Without A Clue, hopefully the Mods will move this to the Most Useful Topics section of the Forums, as it will be best there

and Rebel Without A Clue9 years, 3 months ago

Thanks Shannon :-) One of the Moderators (on the original thread in the Most Useful Topics section) suggested that I re-create it, and report it, so that it can be moved. Should be there by tomorrow I would think.

Question: if you spot the 10th lion it will drop a peridot birthstone...do you need an empty vase for it to plant or does it go to your storage? I am seeing that when I spot certain animals it plants something in that garden for the owner and they had an "empty" space for it...just trying to understand because I'm about ready to spot my 10th lion and i want to be prepared :) thanks in advance for any advice

Tracey and Cobweb9 years, 2 months ago

The birthstone goes straight to your storage, you don't need an empty space for it.

Angela and Raven9 years, 2 months ago

thanks Tracey
