Don’t normally shop there, but with the French contingency due to arrive tomorrow, needed a few extra bits.Those few bits cost me as much as my weekly food goods from Tesco! Just having a sit down now and a cold drink in the Orangery 😂😂 before it’s time to walk Bob. I’ve put sweetpeas in, they’re growing up my obelisk. Can imagine it would be roasting in the greenhouse. Are you going to grow anything else in there? X

I just came across an older message from last week. No, John is not in the armed forces, he’s an oilfield worker. He works with a big company in northern Alberta as an emission specialist. His work shifts are in camp 1 week, home 1 week.

Good morning Pat!
It’s snowed again overnight, we have about 7-10 cm. I think it’ll melt fairly quickly and everything will be muddy again. Yes, James hurt his hand. He was at work and he was helping to move a large motor and when they put it down it rolled back onto his hand, crushing it between the heavy motor and the metal grate floor. His fingers took the worst part, he’ll lose the 3 fingernails and also broke his middle finger. Of course it’s happened to his right hand so he’s not having a good time trying to figure things out with his left. John and I will go back up to see his dad today, hopefully he’s improved some more as they are really working on getting his medication regulated.
I hope you’ve had a good day, has the sun come back out? Did you finish all the felt needling projects now? What will you move on to for your art club?
