Hi Kathy, no i didnt ask chris for the knife set, we have been using all the ones Kurt has had for many many years, and some from when we had the bakery. and Chris just though its time we got some decent ones.
I was happy using what we have there is nothing wrong with them, I think buying all the big chefs set etc is just a waste of money to be honest, unless you spend and cater for lots of people having all those things in the kitchen is a waste, if you only cook a few meals here and there. I cook nearly every day, except when im here on my own. I could think of more useful things than buying knives. But thats just me. Same with pots and pans, some of the pots i use are 40 years old.
