yeah he would get paid, his boss is ok with having time off for CFA duties, its not like he does it a lot. I think Chris has only had 1 sick day plus the 2 weeks when he had to have his Gallbladder removed, in the over 2 years his been there. He even let Chris go home from work on Friday when Jess told him, that fire is heading for the town get home now.. As she knew how bad it was. Plus he can take it as a sick day if he has to. MGC alert.
