Good morning Marie
You will be amazed well you see after the surgery.  I was given options of different lenses. There is the basic lens which is covered by my insurance then there was one that incorporated the reading part into it and it was an additional $1600. And I thought I would go with that one then there were a couple more with the fancy one being about $4500. More.  But when I talked to the Dr he said since my cataract was so thick he wasn’t sure how much sight I would regain that I should go with the basic lens. My cataract was so thick he couldn’t see back into my eye. He thought I must have had an accident so i had to get a sonogram of my eye to see if there was damage but it was fine.  It cost me $245.00 for the surgery center and this basic lens brought my sight back to almost perfect. Hope they got your glasses fixed properly for you.  I know when I git new glasses in the past the bifocal part never lasted very long before I had to hold things differently to see. I see so baby people who are still wearing glasses after they say they had surgery so I’m not sure why, if the lens have changed or they didn’t correct the vision back when they had the surgery or what.  Hopefully you will get your vision back with the lens they implant.  I was freaked to think about holding my eye open while he worked on it.  But it was a snap.  I could see something going on but wasn’t sure what was going on and the next thing I knew he was bandaging it up. Looking forward to getting the other eye done as soon as it becomes ready.  Have a good Sunday.
