If not that is where I would be. Like you I enjoyed Walter's stand off with the keys. I am hoping that they can find a phone charger to nail Sister Who and Derek. Thinking about Tracey. She is too young to think about retirement although it seems that her job causes a lot of stress. I actually would not have retired if not for the stress of looking after 2 houses. I do miss being the school Librarian and my contact with the students and my fellow workers. However, as you told Tracey, I have filled my days. And I honestly never feel lonely. I enjoy my solitude, perhaps I am somewhat like Hattie? Well I always have my morning coffee walk and enjoy meeting people. I sometimes ask myself would I like another partner? Answer, not really. I know that I have told you about a Maths Teacher at the school and a chap at the coffee shop with the best smile (turns out he is married) both of them interested me. However as I look around my home and realise how much I enjoy being here with no relationship complications, other than the cats, I know that I am in my happy place. Enjoy your new day.

splashed-- It is another sunny but quite cool start to the day. Its only 12 but hopefully warming to a decent temp. I got my request in for the ride but will have to wait and see ifsomeone is available for it. Usually the out of town ones some one picks up but if not I just won't go.,not really over in thused about what this doctor is up to anyway I am not really into more surgery on that leg anymore and what he is proposing is major as far as I am concerned. Phoned the optometrist  and I am going in today to see her. Funny you mention your eyes not being right since cataract surgery--I am thinking the same thing--had trouble ever since getting glasses that are right, We shall see--maybe just glasses and not bifocal(progressives) and the reading glasses will have to do. Incidently got a ride to the optometrist seen as son-in-law is off on holidays and will also be able to go straight to the glasses place to get the things changed, Have a good day

Hello Ed the rain is mostly random. I located the mould smell before the plumber came in. I use a stick on mat in the shower so that I do not slip. I really should remove it after each use  however I often leave it there. Silly me. As soon as I removed it from the shower and plunged it into a tub full of bleach the smell was gone. So it was all my fault. Lazy me. I guess that not using my shower for a few days the mould built up. Lessons to be learned and happily not too old to learn them and work out the problem. Looking forward to having a shower in the morning. Now it is almost time for bed and to continue with the book. Enjoy your day.

Hello  Ed, Walter certainly makes me smile. I am about half way through the book. The plumber arrived this morning and replaced my taps in the shower. He was really nice and trusting. When it came time for paying I asked him how and he told me to just leave the cash in an envelope for him with Abby at the coffee shop. That is where I picked up his card. He is a local and knows all the staff at the coffee shop. He mentioned that he has seen me there. It is great that I have found a local tradie. Pouring down with rain here today. Enjoy your day.

Morning splash--was going to send you a note after the game to ask if you were doing a little dance after Fleetwoods win-- Yes he was a good winner,tried to be dignified about it,seen most of the Europeon golfers were all around  trying to congratulate him and I am sure he will find some way to use the money. I am not the biggest Ryder cup fan but will most like watch as right now I do like golf. We don't have any cables into the apartment-- but to tell the truth I haven't  a clue how my tv hooks up but the main thing is it works. I was lucky again yesterday and my nurse was working the later shift so was able to come and do the coban, I even got to take it off and have a shower, I probably could do that all the time but it takes me so long to get the stuff off and then to get into the shower and out that I only seem to be able to when I know the nurses are later. Off now to try and get a few things done,glasses still don't seem right so will phone the eye doctor and see what they say and also got to phone about rides for the beginning of Sept. Hello Ed, I you seem to be ahead of me with the book. The Monday Morning Coffee Group was great however our only 2 men were missing due to other committments. The conversation as usual was lively and interesting. One of the subjects was not surprisingly about aged care, nursing homes and mobility chairs parked at the homes. Naturally I had tell to them about the book. They all laughed at my account of Walter being tested for his mobility chair and I am fairly sure that they will be now seeking the book. Most of the group love reading. Haha perhaps Joanna Nell, the author, should give me a free book as I have been promoting her books and many people have taken them up. On another subject, when I came home this afternoon and walked past my bathroom there was a distinct odour of mould. Not sure if it is coming in from outside or due to the tap problem? I checked all my towels stored under the sink. They were all dry. Hopefully the plumber will solve it tomorrow. Enjoy your day.

Hello Ed, sad that Tracey is down in the dumps.  That was a lovely thing that you did for the man on his own. Who knows, you may have saved his life by your kindness? Busy day at the op shop. I started with the adults novels. They arranged alphabetically by the author's surname. I began at Z. Reshelved books that are not novels. It amazes me how many books are incorrectly shelved. I managed to work my way to J. At the end oif the day one and a half shelves are empty. Left a note for the backroom workers telling them what I did. I will curious to see if anyone continues with it during the week. Plumber coming tomorrow to fix my taps. Enjoy your day.
