Hello Ed, how is the garage door going? I am madly cleaning and putting things away as Shannon will be here sometime Sunday. Sadly he has a funeral to attend on Sunday as one oif his childhood friends passed away. He will stay here Sunday night and then fly back home on Monday evening. I have to put away all the crafting materials that I have scatterd over the bed in the back room. Enjoy your day.

Hello ED, poor Tracey. Yes, that was terrible about the shooting of the Policemen. The murderer seems to be a nutter. He believes that he is a sovereign state and outside of the law. He is still at large in hostile weather. I quietly hope that he is wet through and freezing. And I pray that he doesn't get desperate and invade a remote farm as he is armed. I finished the book this morning. Loved it. Have a great day.

splashed--Fair warning--if I am not on here  everything is fine--glasses are just away getting remade!! Yesterdays visit to the optometrist went well I think. she thinks the eye muscles have weekend so is having prisms put in the glasses .I am having to use my old reading glasses so they hurt my eyes so minimum use will be needed. It is a nice bright morning but once again cool to start but warming up. Have a good day and I will get on and do what I can for the next week. Have a good day

Hello Ed, I do not even want to think about snakes on my roof! Picture me smiling. The possums would surely disrupt their mating. I think that when the snakes wake up I will be watching the ground rather than thinking about the roof. Trees maybe. It is will soon be that time of year. Now I am REALLY going to bed to read the book.

Hello Ed, I have a sliding (?) door like that going into my workshop. I have to ensure that when the family go home they leave it open for me. And there is a door in my back room at the op shop that always goes off track. I need to keep it closed as the cold air comes in. Happily it is lighter than the one at home so I now know how to align it. Wish that I could do the same at home. Dinner now done and I enjoyed it whilst watching a bit of TV. Haha that's another wonderful about living alone. I will be soon in be in  to read the book. Have  great day.

Hello Ed, TY for the Mallard. I am up to page 274. I also like the names of the rooms being based on Monopoly. I think that my room would be the one next to you. Did you choose Old Kent Rd? If not that is where I would be. Like you I enjoyed Walter's stand off with the keys. I am hoping that they can find a phone charger to nail Sister Who and Derek. Thinking about Tracey. She is too young to think about retirement although it seems that her job causes a lot of stress. I actually would not have retired if not for the stress of looking after 2 houses. I do miss being the school Librarian and my contact with the students and my fellow workers. However, as you told Tracey, I have filled my days. And I honestly never feel lonely. I enjoy my solitude, perhaps I am somewhat like Hattie? Well I always have my morning coffee walk and enjoy meeting people. I sometimes ask myself would I like another partner? Answer, not really. I know that I have told you about a Maths Teacher at the school and a chap at the coffee shop with the best smile (turns out he is married) both of them interested me. However as I look around my home and realise how much I enjoy being here with no relationship complications, other than the cats, I know that I am in my happy place. Enjoy your new day.
