splashed-- white mouse ty. We are at minus 9 and no snow this morning(at least none coming down so maybe they can get some cleared)I have seen it get close to -30 here but generally the cold only reaches the -20's but then we have also had it warm enough for the flowers to start growing. I was going to have an outing today but don't know when a nurse is going to show up and daughter had a chance to go for her first pedicure. Now with the medicine she is on her psorisis has cleared so she is able to to a few of these kind of things and figure when she has the chance go for it. I have of course be to the states quite regularly and I have been to the Yukon and once to Scotland. I do like to travel(thats sort of a thing of the past now) but got very tied up going back and forth across Canada(haven't been the Newfoundland) I am going to have to have a wrestling match with the tree trying to separate the sections and get it bagged but that is the last of the decorations and they are all piled in my bedroom as no storage lockers yet. Have a good day

Hello Ed, Crazy here. Granddaughter , Arja and her family arrived this afternoon from Mansfield. Sarah, her mother already here. They each have dogs and the dogs started fighting. Oh dear. I think that they have settled the dogs now??? My cats stayed inside all day. Mungo in the lounge room and Mindy hiding in my bedroom. I am loving having them all here except for the dogs. They have to bring the dogs. They have taken children and dogs to the pier so I have  moment of writing to you. Enjoy your day.

Happy New Year--as usual the last number of years I just went tobed and woke to a new year. This morning is sunny and clear but the computer says -16 so we are a little on the chilly side but no white stuff falling. I also seen that the snow plows have finally made it to the side streets. Bet that dart coming back at you woke you in a hurry!!. Yes a good idea to have something protecting the walls around--I know you would never miss the board but maybe some of your company would.Funny but at our house  it was always the macho type that tryed to put in  a dart board a mile away with the effort they threw it at. I shall have a nice quiet day today and rest up for my tripput tomorrow. We did have tea but I never knew and someone had to come up and tell me. Have a good day.

Hello Ed, I am glad that you were not wounded by the dart. Still CRAZY here. Shannon and family left around lunch time today. Sarah and family arrived half an hour after.  Then I was informed that Granddaughter Arja and family will arrive tommorrow rather than Saturday. So full house for the weekend. I love having them all come and stay, however I am exhausted. Happily Sarah's children have early nights. Enjoy your New Year.

Morning splash --its snowing and  -5 so everything is nice and white and pretty. I hope this ends soon or we are all going to have cabin fever. I am supposed to be going out Fri morning--I have a pair of pants and a top to exchange as someone figured I    was shrinking. I am getting shorted but the size is still the same. Pants have to have a wider leg now to go over the coban and such and these ones have a narrow short leg. Our dart board was all in a neat little cabinet that hung on the wall--sometimes its a good idea to not have much right close to it as darts can fly funny at times  in the wrong hands, Happy New Year to you and all the family--I hope it is a great one.

splashed-- field mouse ty. At this rate I may not be out until April!! The forecast for today--more snow and and we are at -6. It is supposed to snow again today so will just watch it for the safety of behind a big window.  Storage lockers are still under repair and our stuff id upstairs in a vacant apartment but eventually I may get all the stuff out of the apartment.  We used to play darts==of course down at the legion but also we had a dart board set up in the side room until some wild shots occured by someone and went through the door window beside it so that then we moved to a tamer activity(watching thee fire burn!!) I have water coming through the ceiling in the bathroomover the bathtub--so yesterday went down to report it--must say the guy in the office was on the ball--came up and took pictures but can't get at it until after the start of the new year--so once again we will see/ But I have to admit they do have a lot to do to get this place up to the standard they are hoping for as nothing has been done for a while/ Off to get aa few things done here--Have agood day

Hello Ed, Jesse is in the bath at 9:50 p.m. ??? I slept in this morning as I am exhausted. THe cats are coping. Mindy is warming to the family. Next 2 families will bring their dogs. That will be interesting. I have started reading 'The Dictionary People. THe unsung heroes who created the Oxford Dictionary.' You my recall that I have read a number of books re. the OED. A little unknown fact. The Brothers Grimm who collected many folk and fairy tales were also lexicogrphers who lso created the Deutsches Worterbuch, the German equivalent to the OED. The compilers of the OED followed their method of gathering words. Now Jesse is losing it, small wonder. 10:10 p.m. and he is still in the bath having been calmed down. I don't get it????  Enjoy your day.

Morning splash--We have 2 degrees and falling and everything is white--either from snow or the freezing rain. We are getting weather--not nice stiff of freezing rain, snow and there is a lot of flooding and power outages. If the power goes out I am stuck but have my battery latern, lost of water and lots of food so I should be fine. Just one storm after the other seems to be arriving. We have always had everything down and away by New Years(start as you mean to continue was the motto) spmay get enery and work on getting the tree down . But with no storage lockers yet there is no place to  put everything. Have a good day
